Student Software for FREE!!

I know I should have done something about my idea, like 2 yrs ago when I had it. Honest! I was plan on making a compilation disc of open source software that I could get off the net. Being the struggling student I couldn't afford Microsoft Office. OpenOffice is a great alternative. There are some great anti-malware and anti-virus software out there on the net. Linux can be a little tricky, but it is free.

LifeHacker did a post about Software for Starving Students. So I had to go check it out. I don't use BitTorrent so I tried the direct download. Which was slower than my old Dialup connection. So....I don't know if I will ever get this ISO. smile_sad

Well here is a partial list of the software that is on the CD image.

This is the Windows CD. There is over 40 applications. There is also an OS X version with over 30 applications.

UPDATE: They have a few more mirrors up now..Did a download in about 7 minutes, (I wasn't really paying too much attention this time.)
